CHICAGO— The Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW) today announced that the 38th Annual Gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 31, at the Sheraton Grand Riverwalk Chicago. The Annual Gathering raises critical funds to support CFW’s mission of investing in women and girls as catalysts for strong communities.

The signature event, formerly the Annual Luncheon, will celebrate 38 years of advancing rights for women and girls in Chicago. Attendees will help sustain CFW’s leadership, connections and support for Chicago organizations upholding fundamental rights for women and girls.

“We are thrilled to bring together our community in celebration of our grantees and partners who are working tirelessly to create a more just and equitable region,” said Jessica Sohl, Board Chair, Chicago Foundation for Women. “The Annual Gathering helps raise critical funds for Chicago Foundation for Women’s grantmaking and advocacy programs, allowing us to build on 38 years of impact.”

Nobel Peace Prize nominee Amanda Nguyen will keynote this year’s Gathering. Nguyen is the founder of Rise, a nonprofit organization started to protect the rights of sexual assault and rape survivors, a 2019 Nobel Peace Prize nominee and a 2022 TIME Woman of the Year. In 2016, Nguyen made history by leading the effort to unanimously pass the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Bill of Rights and the Survivors’ Resolution in Congress and the UN.

Since its founding, CFW has granted more than $48 million to hundreds of organizations, impacting 300,000 women, girls, trans and gender nonbinary individuals across metropolitan Chicago. The Foundation funds economic security, anti-violence and health solutions and invests in developing women leaders and advocates.

Registration is now open and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Learn more about CFW’s 2023 Annual Gathering at cfw.org/gathering
