Open Positions

Accounting Coordinator

The Accounting Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day finance department’s functions and operations of the Foundation. This position will maintain strong internal controls while processing accounts payable and receivable, credit card expenses, recording daily revenue journals, and assisting in month and year-end financial close cycles. The Coordinator supports financial operations by preparing reports, assisting with audits, and performing ad hoc expense analysis.  
 

The salary range is $58,925 – $67,000. 

HR and Operations Intern 

CFW is proud to partner with The CAFE Group for the LEAD Internship Program, which connects college students from underrepresented backgrounds to paid internships in the social impact and philanthropic sectors. The HR and Operations Intern will support core administrative, human resources, and operational functions that help the Foundation run smoothly. The intern will gain hands-on experience in data management, staff engagement, and day-to-day operational support. 
 
The HR and Operations Intern must be currently enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year institution and available to work up to 35 hours per week in Chicago from June 1 to August 7, 2026 (no relocation support provided). 
 
The compensation for this internship is $20 per hour. 

Program Intern 

The Program Intern will provide essential administrative and project support across all areas of CFW’s program work. CFW partners with local community organizations and leaders, raising funds from the community, and directing resources to frontline groups responding to community-identified needs. In this role, the intern will support the implementation of CFW’s grantmaking and program initiatives. Working closely with the Director of Programs and Program Officers, the intern will gain hands-on experience with CFW’s grant management system, help organize the annual event calendar for CFW’s Giving Councils and Circles, and assist with coordinating new and existing capacity‑building programs for grantee partners.
