at the 30th Anniversary Luncheon and Symposium
On Tuesday, September 29, I will join nearly 2,000 women and men at Chicago Foundation for Women’s 30th Anniversary Luncheon and Symposium. The Annual Luncheon is an inspirational event that brings together women and men from the philanthropic and business communities. This year’s keynote speaker is Ashley Judd, actress and women’s rights champion!
In honor of Chicago Foundation for Women’s 30th Anniversary in 2015, CFW will also host a public, educational symposium for the Chicago community the morning preceding its Annual Luncheon. At the 30th Anniversary Symposium, CFW will formally unveil and examine a new Women’s Civic Plan for the Chicago metropolitan region. This enriching morning will be free and open to the public. Included will be a networking breakfast, an opening ceremony with a plenary speaker to welcome attendees (500 people expected), followed by educational breakout sessions, discussions and panels. A schedule of events is below:
Symposium (optional, complimentary add-on to the Luncheon) 8:30 am: Symposium registration opens 9 am - 10:30 am: Breakfast and Symposium
Luncheon 10:30 am- 12 pm: Networking Reception 12 pm- 1:30 pm: Luncheon and Keynote Address
Location Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers 301 East North Water Street Chicago, IL
Last year, the sold-out Annual Luncheon event raised $1.2 million dollars. These dollars support over 60 different women and girl-serving nonprofit organizations through grants, capacity building seminars, advocacy and public education. Chicago Foundation for Women makes sure the money goes where it is needed most and can do the most good. They look for innovation, and they demand results.
This is why I am helping raise money for CFW’s Annual Luncheon. CFW has given more than 3,000 grants totaling nearly $24 million dollars. Poverty, violence, and a lack of health options or access affect women differently, and sometimes disproportionately. Chicago Foundation for Women targets that disparity.
My goal is to host a table of 10 or more friends, colleagues and family members who, like me, believe that when you support women and girls, whole communities thrive. You can purchase a $150.00 or $300.00 ticket today.
Register to join me at the 30th Anniversary Luncheon and Symposium and become a part of this city-wide movement to improve the lives of women and girls. REGISTER
If you are unable to attend, you can still make a contribution. INVEST
