31st Annual Luncheon & Symposium

Juanita Salvador-Burris' Table

Please join me in supporting the women and girls of Chicago

On Thursday, September 22, I will join nearly 2,100 women and men at Chicago Foundation for Women’s 31st Annual Luncheon and Symposium. The Annual Luncheon is an exciting and inspirational event that brings together women and men from the philanthropic, business and local communities. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Anne Marie Slaughter, CEO of the New America Foundation, foreign policy expert and former senior advisor to Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Dr. Slaughter is best known for her controversial article, "Why Women Still Can’t Have it All."

Last year’s Annual Luncheon was a sold out event and a huge success: CFW had close to 2,100 attendees and raised $1.3 million! These dollars are now hard at work, supporting different women and girl-serving nonprofit organizations through grants, capacity building seminars, advocacy and public education.

This is why I am helping raise money for CFW’s Annual Luncheon. CFW has given more than 3,000 grants totaling nearly $28 million dollars. Poverty, violence, and a lack of health options or access affect women differently, and sometimes disproportionately. Chicago Foundation for Women targets that disparity and invests our collective dollars in the most sustainable and innovative organizations in the Chicago metropolitan area.

My goal is to host a table of 10 or more friends, colleagues and family members who believe that when you support women and girls, whole communities thrive. You can purchase a $150.00 ticket to this inspiring event today.

Register to join me at the 31st Annual Luncheon and Symposium and become a part of this city-wide movement to improve the lives of women and girls.

If you are unable to attend, you can still make a contribution.

Visit the event page for more information about Chicago Foundation for Women and the latest updates on the Luncheon!

Many thanks,
