Chicago Foundation for Women Launches COVID-19 Response Grants August 06 2020 By Editor, Lawndale News Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW) announced requests for proposals for its Response, Recovery, and Resilience Fund initial grant cycle. The grants will provide funding to eligible community-based organizations serving communities disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants will focus on priority communities that have been disproportionately impacted. Priority consideration will be given to frontline, grassroots organizations, and women of color-led organizations with budgets under $4 million serving women, girls, transgender, and gender non-binary people of color. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, awarding flexible grants up to $7,500, to support organizations as circumstances change and new needs or challenges are identified. The awards will fall into two categories, 1) Relief/services to address immediate or on-going needs or short-term emergency advocacy activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, or 2) capacity-building support to stabilize organizations that directly serve communities.
