The Young Women’s Giving Council (YWGC) of the Chicago Foundation for Women is hosting its 4th Annual Speed Mentoring Event, Thursday, April 6, 2017.
We have invited 25 high- achieving women across many industries to "speed mentor" friends and council members. Similar to speed dating, the night will consist of 8-10 rounds of short conversations between female mentors and female mentees.
Mentors will be able to share some of the key lessons they have learned throughout their career and provide insight to the next generation of powerful women. We hope that mentors and mentees will make valuable connections that may even lead to continued communication and long-term mentoring relationships.
The Chicago Foundation for Women is a Chicago-based grant-making organization focused on improving the lives of women and girls. We strive to make sure that all women and girls have adequate access to healthcare, are free from violence and are economically secure. The Young Women’s Giving Council (YWGC) an extension of the work of CFW, achieving these goals by raising and granting funds to impactful organizations across the city.
Our Speed Mentoring Event will take place at the offices of Grant Thornton, LLP, 171 N. Clark, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $45 and include speed mentoring, hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, a professional headshot and a networking reception. Attire is business casual.
