Young Women's Leadership Council

The Young Women's Leadership Council is the newest and largest of the five councils and consists of women of all ethnic backgrounds (ages 18 to 30). The Council's large membership speaks to the tremendous energy and eagerness of young women to organize and take action around issues affecting their lives and to gain leadership experience. The Council works to promote intergenerational dialogue and partnership, and in 2008 awarded its first grants from a special council fund. See grantees of the Young Women's Leadership Council's fund here.

Mission Statement
Chicago Foundation for Women's Young Women's Leadership Council is a diverse community of young women ages 18 to 30, who are committed to supporting young women and girls through philanthropic efforts. To support our philanthropy, we utilize our strength as a diverse network of young women to fundraise for the purpose of grantmaking. In addition, we develop the potential of young women as leaders and philanthropists through educational programming, leadership opportunities, and professional development.
