Chicago Foundation for Women improves the lives of women and girls through grants, advocacy, leadership development, and public and grantee education. Since 1985, we have awarded more than 2,800 grants totaling more than $17 million to hundreds of nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.
Our grantmaking focuses on three strategies to improve women's and girls' lives:
-
Expanding economic security
-
Ensuring freedom from violence
-
Enhancing access to health services and information
We are more than a funder to our grantees: We help grantee organizations build their capacity by offering free workshops with the nonprofit industry's best trainers and consultants.
