CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: 2010 IMPACT AWARDSRecognizing 25 people of extraordinary leadership, talent & dedication Nominations are now closed--thank you to all our nominators! In the spring of 2010, Chicago Foundation for Women's Impact Awards will recognize 25 local women and men whose leadership and achievements are making the world better for women and girls. This event commemorates the Foundation's 25th anniversary and launches our year-long celebration.
When Chicago Foundation for Women was founded 25 years ago, less than 3 percent of philanthropic dollars specifically addressed the needs of women and girls. Since then, we have given out almost $17 million in grants to Chicago-area nonprofits that work on women's health, leadership, economic security, freedom from violence and more.
We are considering nominees of all ages and from all fields, including (but not limited to) the arts, business, education, faith-based work, journalism, law, medicine, philanthropy and public or community service. We seek to recognize both established and emerging leaders—those whose work has had an impact as well as up-and-coming visionaries.
Impact Awards nominations are now closed. Awardees will be announced in February 2010. The 25 honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony in the spring of 2010. Stay tuned for more event details coming soon.
